Frequently asked questions

Clear answers, before you ever book.

Selling jewelry should feel transparent from the very first question. Here are the things people ask us most — and we're always glad to answer more.

Getting started

Do you buy one piece, or only estates?

Both — with no minimum. We buy single rings, a few items, and full estate collections alike. Estate buy-outs are a specialty of ours, but they're never the only thing we do. Bring one piece or a whole collection; either is genuinely welcome.

Why work with you instead of a pawn shop or generic gold buyer?

We're a boutique, relationship-driven jewelry buyer — not a pawn shop or mass-market "we buy gold" counter. Appointments are private and one-on-one, evaluations are explained piece by piece, and our GIA training plus dealer-network access means high-end and estate pieces are properly recognized and fairly valued.

Is there any cost or obligation?

No. Evaluations are complimentary and there's never any obligation to sell. If you decide to keep your pieces, that's completely fine — many people simply want to understand what they have.

What we buy

What kinds of items do you buy?

Diamonds and loose stones, gold, platinum and silver jewelry, fine and designer pieces, pearls and colored gemstones, watches, and precious-metal heirloom items. If it's jewelry or precious metal with value, we'll evaluate it. See what we buy →

Do you buy damaged jewelry?

Yes. Broken chains, single earrings, bent rings, and pieces with missing stones often still hold real value in their metal and stones. Don't assume something is worthless — let us take a look first.

Appointments & privacy

How private are appointments?

Completely private. Every appointment is one-on-one, by appointment only, in a secure and confidential setting — never an open counter or public environment. What you bring and discuss stays between us.

How long does an appointment take?

Standard appointments are scheduled for about 45 minutes, which is plenty for most visits. Larger collections and estates may need more time — just let us know in advance and we'll plan accordingly.

Do I need to prepare anything in advance?

Not really. A short note about what you're bringing is helpful, and you can optionally share photos — but none of it is required. Bring your pieces as they are; we'll handle the rest.

Evaluation & payment

How are items tested and valued?

Each piece is tested and weighed in front of you using best-in-class equipment — including a Yehuda Sherlock diamond tester, an Elva Tech Gold Prospector, and correct, calibrated scales — then valued against current markets. We explain every step. See the full process →

How quickly do I get an offer?

Usually within the same appointment. For most visits we evaluate and present a clear, piece-by-piece offer on the spot. Very large or complex estate collections may take a little longer, which we'll discuss up front.

Do you pay on the spot?

In many standard appointments, yes — we can pay by check the same day on accepted offers. For larger estate buy-outs, payment timing is arranged by agreement, with everything documented.

Can I sell only some pieces and keep the rest?

Absolutely. Nothing is ever all-or-nothing. You can remove any piece from consideration at any point — keep what's meaningful and sell only what you choose.

Credentials & trust

Are you insured?

Yes. We're an insured dealer, and your items are protected while they're in our possession — an important safeguard for estate collections and any pieces left in our care.

Are you a licensed precious metals dealer?

Yes. We operate as a fully licensed precious metals dealer and maintain proper documentation throughout every transaction.

What are your credentials?

Our principal, Roy Ben Aharon, is a GIA Diamond Graduate with roughly 24 years of experience. We're a JBT member in good standing with RapNet and dealer-network access, plus licensed and insured dealer status. More about our credentials →

Estates & families

Do you work with executors, families, and estate attorneys?

Yes — regularly. We help families with inherited jewelry, support executors and administrators with documented valuations, and serve as a discreet, credentialed partner that estate attorneys can refer clients to with confidence. Explore estate buy-outs →

I'm worried about being taken advantage of. How do I know your offer is fair?

That concern is exactly why we work the way we do. We show you the testing, explain the weights and grades, and price against real, current markets — so you understand every number before you decide. There's no pressure and no obligation to accept.

Mail-in inquiries

Can I mail in jewelry?

Mail-in service is available by inquiry for certain situations. Because in-person appointments give you the clearest, most transparent experience, we recommend those first — but if visiting isn't practical, reach out and we'll walk you through secure options. Contact us about mail-in →

Still have a question?

We're glad to help — just ask.

This list grows as our clients ask new questions. If yours isn't here, send it our way or book a private appointment and we'll answer everything in person.
